When de Gournay required cabinetry for its New York showroom, Clive Christian was selected to produce bespoke cabinetry design that could hold its own in one of the world’s most visually considered retail environments. The commission called for cabinetry that would complement rather than compete with de Gournay’s hand-painted wallcoverings, a challenge well suited to the restrained classical vocabulary of the Clive Christian Architectural Collection.

The resulting cabinetry draws on the same design language used across residential Clive Christian projects: square-framed doors, recessed paneling, and finish quality that reads clearly in photography and under showroom lighting. The de Gournay New York commission demonstrates how Clive Christian cabinetry translates from the domestic interior into a high-profile commercial and retail context.
