Woolworth tower penthouse dressing room
The Woolworth Building soars above City Hall Park at the gateway to Tribeca. Unprecedented in size and sophistication when it was first completed in 1913, this graceful tower remains an elegant jewel in the skyline of downtown Manhattan.
Today, the top thirty floors are being masterfully transformed into The Woolworth Tower Residences: a limited collection of thirty-three luxury condominiums atop a celebrated New York landmark. We were honoured to be the representative cabinetry provider for the high-end upgrade of the dressing room and cocktail bar in the penthouse of this impressive building.
The dressing room showcases the Metro Deco collection in Cool Walnut, accented with stainless steel inlays. The sleek, refined lines of the cabinetry echo the elegance of the Art Deco era, thoughtfully complementing the heritage of this iconic building. Fluted glass panels add subtle texture and intricate detail, enhancing the space with a sense of timeless sophistication.
Our design team drew inspiration from the building’s striking architectural details, including the beautiful terracotta window reveals. The team reinterpreted these in a contemporary marquetry design for the cabinetry doors. The design plays on the iconic Woolworth ‘W’ insignia, which has been expertly integrated into the doors using intricate contrasting timber inlay.
