This stunning property in Perthshire is a great example of their skills.
Set in its own land in an elevated position, it provides great views to the hills around and is completely private. The challenge was to provide a practical kitchen for a young family, in a space that only had a single wall. They needed a solution to both house appliances and provide storage and working areas, whilst being mindful to take full advantage of the stunning views through the full-length windows.
The solution was double island approach with separate functions, one for cooking and socialising and one for wash up and prep. They selected Architectural cabinetry, crafted in Black Walnut which provided rich, deep tones and substantial features in keeping with the property. A raised bar section was created to protect the cooking area and a downdraft extraction was installed under the floor. The wash-up area was topped with a beautiful Carrara marble providing contrast and practicality. Finally, bespoke backed bar stools were created to provide design and material consistency across the room.
Wolf and Sub Zero appliances were installed throughout and a smart breakfasting dresser hides a Miele coffee machine and has a small fridge for a discrete yet focused breakfast area.
